Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal

I was finally able to locate some canned pumpkin! Who knew it would be so difficult this time of year? It’s a chilly fall morning, and I decided to make myself a little treat. Pumpkin Pie Chocolate Chip Oatmeal!

What You Will Need:

>canned pumpkin, 2 heaping tablespoons
> rolled oats, prepared with water or milk, 1/3 cup dry
> ground nutmeg, dash
> ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon
> honey or maple syrup, to desired sweetness
> almond butter, 1/2 tablespoon
> chocolate chips, to garnish (optional)

1. Cook the oatmeal with milk or water (whichever you prefer) and the spices (Pumpkin Pie pre-made spice would work too!).

2. Take the hot oats and mix in the sweetener…

… pumpkin, and nut butter (gives it a pie crust flavor).

3. Garnish with chocolate chips and enjoy!

This is a fast, filling breakfast perfect for Fall. You can add walnuts to it or raisins if that suits your fancy. This breakfast is a staple to satisfy in the morning.
